Standard Life
Scott Cockburn...

Business Analyst, 2009-2013
Having decided to leave AEGON, Scott opted to utilise his analyst skills in a different field and joined Standard Life as an Analyst within their Platforms area.
The platforms provide self-service systems for Independent Financial Advisers which allow them to reduce administration and spend more time working with clients. As such they - 'Wrap' and 'Fundzone' - were amongst the most prominent products offered by Standard Life.
Utilising his analyst skills, Scott quickly settled into the Platform Support team. Within three months of joining Standard Life he was appointed as Data Analysis Manager within a multi-million pound remediation project where he successfully 'turned around' a failing workstream.
Thereafter, he worked in areas such as Platform Business Continuity and Crisis Management; including running a training and 'roadshow' programme for around 300 staff. In addition he enjoyed three successful secondments to high-profile Standard Life projects.
Scott completed his Standard Life career by working on a process improvement and training programme as well as the planning, development and roll-out of a cross-area, senior management dashboard.

-
Analytical support to Technician colleagues across 500-strong Platform/Asset Administration Division and Senior Management pool
