Edinburgh born-and-bred, Scott Cockburn is a 48-year-old Hearts supporting Senior Manager/Pod Lead in Business Analysis, husband and father.
Educated at Linlithgow Academy, Scott studied BSc Social and Management Sciences at Napier University graduating in 1998 with a 2:1 Honours Degree. As part of his studies Scott successfully completed a dissertation on Nationalist Politics in Scotland.
Scott then embarked on a career which has seen him work for prominent Edinburgh and worldwide companies such as ESPC, Standard Life and now, HSBC as a Senior Manager and Pod Lead in Compliance.
A Hearts supporter since birth, Scott has followed Hearts through thick-and-thin across both Scotland and Europe. He has also built up a large collection of related memorabilia. This also reflects his wider interest in history and in particular Scottish history and the World Wars.
An enthusiastic writer, Scott has recently co-authored and published the (sold-out) 'Hearts Programme Guide 1924-2024' which is in addition to almost-250 articles published in a number of titles both in print and online including the 'Final Word' column for the official Heart of Midlothian programme - available to crowds of up to 20,000 each issue. He has also had 101 editions of his popular 'One Club Man' series for 'Programme Monthly' magazine published plus regular articles in Scottish fanzine, 'Epistles' and several other publications.
With his family he has travelled across Europe and most recently, the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia - Auckland, New York and Bucharest are amongst his favourite cities visited.
A prolific reader he also enjoys cinema and almost every type of music from Rat Pack through Northern Soul to anything with a guitar.
