HR Systems and Information Analyst, 1999-2003
Having graduated in 1998, Scott began his career as a Technician with Royal Bank of Scotland. The following year he secured his first permanent role with Scottish Life.
Joining a department of around 15 people, he assumed sole responsibility for the suite of three HR systems and in particular the development of an MI strategy to support the work of HR.
In just over three years in the role, Scott successfully worked on and co-ordinated the upgrade and development of systems including testing and performance evaluation. In addition, he created a vast library of bespoke MI to provide background information for projects and information on request to fellow staff and Senior Management.
Business Analyst, 2003
With the imminent closure of the HR Department due to a takeover by Royal London, Scott moved to a temporary. project role within the Marketing area. Here he was part of a team responsible for designing and testing a Flexible Benefits system which was to be sold as part of a pension product in conjunction with Vebnet Ltd. In particular he was responsible for user-guides, user MI and the absence module. After successful completion of this project Scott subsequently joined National Museums of Scotland.
